Craft room phase 1

Green! I like green, green can be soothing which would help to focus the mind and induce creativity. Right? Well, I tried samples of four different greens on the wall of my room before I settled on this pulse-pounding orange/red color. Although I like green it wasn’t working for me, so I went with a vibrant color to get the creative juices flowing. It’s only an accent wall though, the rest will be a neutral color.

So far, I’ve accomplished this:

  • Clear half the room and paint walls
  • Add organizational items to the wall
  • Assemble desk (old door on top of shelving from Walmart)
  • Begin opening boxes and putting things where they belong
  • Donate box and garbage bag in use

Still need to do:

  • Build shelves beside and above window
  • Open remaining boxes and organize, donate, or toss
  • Repeat process on sewing side of room

The only heat in our shop is a wood stove and it’s been a little cold to be staining wood. But, I hope to get the wood for the shelves cut and stained so we can move to the next step.
