Intro: Mother Son Baking Challenge

When we moved to Idaho, I had to figure out ways to stay in regular contact with my three sons. Since my oldest son, Eric, and I both like to bake and cook, I asked him if he wanted to do a monthly baking challenge. He very enthusiastically agreed 🙂 After I told him I would like to do the Scandinavian Princess cake first, we both hit the web looking for recipes (more on that in a later post). Eric came up with the idea of around-the-world baking and I thought that was a great way to go. We’ll alternate who gets to choose the next challenge. Success or failure, it should be interesting!

As I was looking for pictures to add to this post, I realized I didn’t have any recent pictures of the two of us together. I couldn’t find any good ones at all (not Eric’s fault that his mother is so NOT photogenic), but, since you already know what I look like, and Eric has yet to send the requested new photo, here’s a couple old ones. When I see him this summer, I’ll get some of us together baking!
